1. What is CPM?

On Kpugi, all campaigns operate on an automated Cost-Per-Mille (CPM) model:

  • "Mille" is Latin for one thousand.
  • CPM simply means the amount of money paid for every 1,000 verified views you deliver to the brand's post.
  • For example, if a campaign has a rate of N5,000 CPM, you earn N5,000 gross for every 1,000 verified views your post receives.

2. The 1,000-View Qualification Milestone (The Hard Cliff Rule)

To ensure that brands get meaningful visibility and that budgets are not spent on inactive submissions, Kpugi enforces an absolute minimum milestone:

  • The 1,000-View Minimum: Your post must reach at least 1,000 verified views to qualify for a payout.
  • Under 1,000 Views: If your post finishes with 999 views or fewer, the recorded payout is N0.00. There are no partial or prorated payments for posts that do not reach the 1,000-view mark.
  • What Happens to the Reserved Budget? When you join a campaign, a portion of the brand's budget is reserved for you. If your post does not cross 1,000 views by the time the campaign concludes, that reserved budget is automatically released back to the brand pool for other creators to earn.

3. The Payout Formula: Gross vs. Net

Once your submission crosses the 1,000-view milestone, your payout is calculated using a simple, transparent formula:

Gross Earnings = (Verified Views / 1,000) * Campaign CPM Rate
Platform Facilitation Fee (10%) = Gross Earnings * 10%
Net Creator Take-Home Pay (90%) = Gross Earnings * 90%

The 10% platform fee covers Kpugi's automated scraping servers, anti-fraud shields, identity verification systems, and payment processing charges. The remaining 90% is yours to keep and is deposited directly into your bank account.

4. Real-World Payout Examples

Verified Views Campaign CPM Rate Gross Earnings Platform Fee (10%) Net Take-Home (90%)
850 Views N5,000 N0.00 N0.00 N0.00 (Below 1,000 Cliff)

5,000 Views N5,000 N25,000.00 N2,500.00 N22,500.00
25,000 Views N6,000 N150,000.00 N15,000.00 N135,000.00
50,000 Views N6,000 N300,000.00 N30,000.00 N270,000.00
100,000 Views N5,000 N500,000.00 N50,000.00 N450,000.00

5. Campaign Creator View Caps

To give multiple creators a fair chance to participate in popular campaigns, some brands set an Individual View Cap (for example, capped at 30,000 views per creator):

  • If you reach 30,000 views on a capped campaign, you will be paid in full for those 30,000 views.
  • Any extra views your post gathers beyond 30,000 will not generate additional earnings for that particular campaign.
  • Always check the campaign card on your Creator Dashboard before joining to see if a view cap applies.
