1. Best Practices for Brand Assets

On Kpugi, creators do not produce unguided ads from scratch. You supply the pre-made creative assets, guidelines, and talking points—and creators amplify them to their audience for reach and virality.

To maximize engagement, follow these asset standards:

  • Vertical Video Format (9:16): Clean 1080p MP4 export. Keep video length between 15 and 60 seconds for optimal algorithmic retention on TikTok, Reels, and Shorts.
  • Commercial Music Licensing: Always use royalty-free or commercially cleared background tracks. If your video uses unlicensed music, social platforms may mute it, preventing views from counting.
  • Clear Suggested Caption: Provide 2 to 3 sentences highlighting your product's key value proposition and a clear call-to-action.

2. Mandatory Brief Instructions

Your campaign brief acts as a clear agreement between you and participating creators. Ensure you specify:

  • Required Sponsor Handle: Exactly how your social account should be tagged (e.g. @BrandNigeria).
  • Campaign Hashtags: The exact hashtags creators must include in their captions (e.g. #BrandSummer, #KpugiDrop).
  • Competitor Exclusions: Explicitly list any competitor brand names that creators must not mention in their post.
  • Destination Link: If you want to track website visits, provide your landing page URL or use Kpugi's smart prelander link.

3. The "Freeze Rule" (Protecting Creator Submissions)

The Freeze Rule: Once your campaign is live and creators begin joining and publishing posts, you cannot retroactively change required hashtags, sponsor handles, or instructions for existing submissions.

Any updates made to a live campaign brief will strictly apply only to future creators who join after the update. Existing posts are verified strictly against the brief that was active when the creator joined.
